Pet Gear has put out a quality version of a double pet stroller and it is now available! What makes it different? The most prominent features include:
- Stroller holds up to 90 pounds of pet
- The cabin is 7 inches wider than the NV, Jogger and AT3
- It has a double front wheel for stability and easy steering
- It comes with a plush comfort pad, a weather cover and a tire pump
Even though this is a larger stroller, it is not difficult to fold. The button is on the handle bar and will collapse the stroller using one hand. The Double stroller will fit in the back of most cars, and it will fit through most doorways (it is about 34 inches wide when open). The front wheel swivels, but can be locked in place if you decide you want to jog with your pets. One pet will ride like a king and multiple pets will ride in comfort. There are two leash connectors inside the cabin. This pet strollers has the popular No-Zip feature that eliminates zippers from the enclosure. Quickly unlatch the mesh “door” when putting your pets inside the cabin, or taking them out. The Double comes in two colors: Boysenberry and Pine Green.

You are familiar with the warning that chocolate and other foods with caffeine are not good for the health of your pet, but also be aware of these foods:
Xylitol is the artificial sweetener found in chewing gum, candy, toothpaste and mouthwash. If dogs ingest a large quantity of this substance, they may vomit, be lethargic or appear to be uncoordinated. Low blood sugar, or hypoglycemia may result after an ingestion. It is best to seek the help of a vet if you find that your buddy has feasted on a pack of your gum or got into a tube of toothpaste.
Ingestion of Grapes and/or Raisins can result in sudden kidney failure for dogs. You might see your dog vomiting or appearing more tired than usual. This is another time when you will need to have your pet seen by the vet as soon as possible.
Pets are naturally curious and some are downright mischievous! This is just another plug for awareness. Don’t leave the candy on the kitchen table!

I don’t know about you, but I’ve jumped into fall with ease. I can’t stop making food that includes pumpkin as an ingredient: Pumpkin soup, pumpkin butter, pumpkin muffins and pumpkin pie.
My dogs and cat are always begging for people food and I wondered if they would like a little canned pumpkin. Yes, all three approved. I didn’t realize that unsweetened pumpkin is actually good for the digestive health of dogs and cats.
Being a high fiber food, pumpkin absorbs excess water and causes animals to produce firm, but soft. stools. The high content of dietary fiber will also make your pet feel fuller longer, and this can aid in a healthy diet plan. Typically, a few teaspoons of pumpkin are enough for a treat, but you can also substitute some of your pet’s food with a serving of pumpkin.
Pumpkin is low in saturated fat, sodium and cholesterol and is a good source of Vitamins A and E. Now there is no question about what to do with any left-over pumpkin that doesn’t need to go into a recipe – give it to the dogs.
